$300 Billion is given to charity every year in the U.S., yet only about 5% of that is given online. At the same time, more corporations are helping to raise money and awareness for charity as part of their ongoing marketing and corporate citizenship programs.

At Causemedia Group, our companies work to better connect brands and non-profits, by helping them raise awareness (and funds) for their mutual benefit. We work to bring their message to consumers and potential donors in three ways:

  2. Our consumer properties: We manage websites and blogs like Name Your Cause (www.nameyourcause.com), Charity Smackdown (www.charitysmackdown.com), and WhatGives!? (www.whatgives.com). Each of these helps reach and engage consumers and potential donors in ongoing campaigns.
  3. Our technologies: We've built and acquired a toolbox that lets us lower the barrier to entry for online giving and allows us to easily enable matching donations from sponsor brands.

Within the Causemedia Group family, the tools we've assembled let us use a wide variety of tactics: sweepstakes, auctions, social media applications, mobile and text-based donations, and many others - all in the service of the larger goal - to help our partners do well by doing good.
